The publishing of Quintina is progressing on schedule. The editing is just about halfway done. This is the biggest part of the process. I’m working with a great new editor who is going through the book 22,000 words or so at a time. She’s doing a wonderful job helping me smooth out sections where I probably described things a little more in depth than I really needed to. On the other hand, you can imagine how thorough my world building has been. 🙂
I can’t wait to share the new book with you and I’m more than anxious to get it published. It’s been a long time since Anna was published and I know people have been waiting to find out what happens next. I’ve also had the added anxiety of working through the Chinese translation of Anna, which as taken much longer than anticipated. At any minute, I will receive a notification that Anna has been posted for sale on Amazon China. From what I know, it was submitted and we’re just waiting for the Amazon-powers-that-be to put it on the website.
In between edits and messages to my translators, I’ve had the pleasure of being distracted by the little one growing in my tummy. I won’t sugar coat it. Due to screenings, this has been a very stressful pregnancy, but our first ultrasound went well and we found out we’re having another girl! Mr. Awesome is outnumbered, but he’s handling it well.
I’ll continue to keep everyone updated as Quintina progresses. Until then, keep coming back for more book and audiobook reviews.
