The Starseed Series is a new Young Adult science fiction series centered around 17 year-old Anna Stuart. When she discovers that she’s not who she thinks she is, she must go on a journey to find out why before the people who caused it all finally catch up to her.
He walked toward me, his black opaque body blocking out the room behind him, with the hesitation of a hunter trying to predict a prey’s flee path. My body shook with fear as I realized there was no way out and I couldn’t fight back. I could try to run again, but he was quick, much quicker than he’d been in the past… Stretching his right hand out further, he grabbed my arm. Electricity shot through my body. My eyes clamped shut and my back arched whipping my head against the side of my mattress as images of stars, strange faces, and oddly colored landscapes flew through my mind. As quickly as they were there, they were gone.
Just your average high school science geek…or not?
When a haphazard smattering of freckles on her arm start to change causing a series of unnerving hallucinations and odd side effects that only Anna seems to notice, she can’t help but wonder if she’s losing her mind or if there truly is something to the visions. Her roller coaster senior year of high school may make it easy for her to live in denial, but she’ll soon learn what you don’t know about yourself could kill you.
Will you see the clues before Anna does?
Originally posted on Wattpad.com, Anna received over 80,000 reads and won a 2012 Watty Award in the genre of Science Fiction.
No longer on Earth, Anna must now piece together her memories on the strange, new world of Enki. Guided by Julianus, the mysterious man who brought her back, she soon realizes this isn’t the same world she was starting to remember, making it even more difficult to figure out why she was sent to Earth. Will she be able to solve the mystery before the people who sent her away realize she’s back? Or will her memories forever remain lost?
Reader Responses (Just a few)
@DeannaHonafius “Meghan, Thank you for sacrificing the time with your family and friends to write this book. It was entertaining, full of imagery, and the fact you really were able to express the character’s feeling, emotions and personalities with that much detail, is fantastic. I look forward to your writing and Anna does deserve a second book. So take your time and make #2 better than the first. :)”
@Forealways11 “This book is absolutely amazing!!!!! I wanted to cry so much at the end because it was over, but I’m good for now since there will be a book 2.Everything about this is great, from the idea, to the plot, to the writing, to the characters. I found myself connecting to Anna a lot, and i don’t get attached to characters easily. Can’t wait to read the second!!!”
@EdenRoss “I just finished reading Anna and I must say that if it was published I would buy it as soon as it came out in hardback and then I would run screaming to all my friends “OH MI WORD YA GOTTA READ DIS!!!!!!” So pleeeeeaaaaaaaaaasssseeeee keep writing. I loved how you took your time through the book and how you described the characters and thought everythin out. There were no loose ties except for those needed for the cliff hanger. It was also a great story line and looks like you did researching into physics because it was very detailed in that aspect too. I must say, i strongly encourage you too publish it. It has become one of my favorites. I feel like it needs more comments on how good it is too, but since this comment is so long I’ll say one thing more. I love how you put God into it. You made the character with the faith of a real teenager and not something overpowering or totally against the thought. Good luk on the next book and keep up the good work.”
@JessicaThompson “I love the ending, even though I’m left hanging.I love the idea of all the new prospects that await Anna for her new life in a second book.I thought the pace of the book was good.It wasn’t too fast and it didn’t drag either. It really kept my attention and there were many times I needed to put the book down to get back to my life and I couldn’t bring myself to do it.I’m really proud of you and how well you write.Great Job!”
@Ellem_A “I for one am hoping it is a 2 part story. I thoroughly enjoyed Anna, and especially all the twists and turns at the end. …Talk about throw in a few twists and turns, one moment I am rooting for Steve, then Jared, then I am worrying about Michael, then rooting for Steve again, and I just knew McCormick was bad news. I didn’t even suspect Jared of being anything other than nice until Steve was looking at him funny at homecoming and even then I wasn’t sure if it was just jealously or not. But I must admit I hoped Steve hadn’t set her up to look stupid at the dance, and was glad the way that bit turned out. Holy crap girl, the second half of this book had loads of little twists.”
@Charliemayeid “my sister started reading your book ‘Anna’ and told me to start reading it straight away. After she read the first few parts about the shadow man, she wouldn’t even go to the kitchen on her own cos she was so scared ahah 😛 Your books are amazing. The first book I’ve read on this site that truly should be on paper 🙂 ”
